Mr. Pramod Chaudhari is currently the Executive Chairman of Praj Industries Limited. He established Praj Industries in 1984. Praj is a global Indian company that offers innovative solutions to significantly add value in bio-ethanol, bio-diesel and brewery plants and related wastewater treatment systems as well as process plant & equipment for customers, worldwide. Praj is a knowledge based company with expertise and experience in Bioprocesses and Engineering. It delivers know how, license, engineering design, plant & equipment, project management, commissioning and customer care and turnkey projects. Led by an accomplished and caring leadership, Praj is a socially responsible corporate citizen. Praj is listed on the Bombay and National Stock Exchanges of India.
Mr. Chaudhari has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Mr. Chaudhari was awarded the ‘Distinguished Alumnus Award of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay’ in 2005 and the Jagatik Marathi Chamber of Commerce ‘National Level Entrepreneurship Award’ in 2004. Mr. Chaudhari has industrial experience of over 37 years.
Mr. Chaudhari was Chairman of Maharashtra State Council of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 2009-10 and is also Chairman of CII’s National Committee on Bio-fuels.
Parag K. Shah Managing Director
Mr. Parag K. Shah (41) is the Managing Director of our Company. He has a wide experience of 22 years in the construction industry. He joined the Company in the year 1991 after completing his graduation in commerce. In 1997, under his leadership, the Company won the prestigious contract for construction of the first private port in India at Nhava Sheva, JNPT. His entrepreneurial acumen and vision has taken the Company to new heights. He spearheads the company's business development activities and under his leadership, Man Infra has achieved immense reputation as a construction Company.
Suketu R. Shah Executive Director
Suketu R. Shah (39) is the Executive Director of the Company. He holds a Licentiate in Civil and Sanitary Engineering from VJTI, Mumbai. He has been associated with the Company since its incorporation. He has executed varied projects and has 20 years of experience of working in the construction industry. His leadership skills have enabled the company to execute complex projects successfully.
Rajiv Maliwal Investor Director
Rajiv Maliwal is the Founder and Managing Partner of Sabre Partners India, an investment group which has funded and led many startups and late stage companies in India in the areas of financial services, healthcare, infrastructure, entertainment and technology.
Prior to founding Sabre Partners in 2002, Rajiv was at Standard Chartered PLC as Global Head of Private Equity. He raised a over $300m fund, built a global team and invested internationally with a focus on financial services and technology. Between 1993 and 1998, he was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, Hong Kong and JP Morgan, Singapore and was responsible for setting up and growing the investment banking and securities businesses for them in India. He established a JV for both these firms in India with domestic partners, led many M&A, Equity and Debt underwritings for Indian corporates and originated several private equity investments. Prior to 1993, Rajiv was with Citibank, where he was responsible for corporate and investment banking in Western India.
He graduated with an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in 1985 and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from BITS, Pilani.
Rajiv is married and has a son and a daughter. He sits on the board of several listed and unlisted companies. He is a member of Stanford Parents Advisory Board. He is also closely associated with two charitable organizations in Asia.
Rahul Raisurana Investor Director
Rahul Raisurana has a Masters degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Graduate School of Management, Clark University, USA. Mr. Rahul Raisurana was nominated as a Director by Standard Chartered Private Equity (Mauritius) II Limited and Standard Chartered Private Equity (Mauritius) III Limited, pursuant to the provisions of the Share Subscription, Share Purchase and Shareholders' Agreement dated February 16, 2009. Mr. Rahul Raisurana is presently Managing Director at Standard Chartered Private Equity Advisory (India) Pvt. Limited wherein he founded and currently leads its Mid Market focused private equity business in India. He has over 20 years of wide ranging international professional experience in private equity, risk management and corporate and investment banking. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Mr. Raisurana was Managing Director, Investments at IDFC Project Equity Company Limited where he co-founded and set-up India's first project level equity infrastructure fund that was jointly sponsored by IDFC and Citigroup. Prior to IDFC, Mr. Raisurana was Head of Institutional and Corporate Credits at Deutsche Bank where he led the credit sanctioning and risk management group of the bank in India. At Deutsche Bank, Mr. Raisurana was a member of the bank's Executive and Management Committee for India and also served as a voting member of the bank's Global Credit Policy Committee. His other professional assignments included roles with Moody's Investors Service based in New York and with Citigroup's Corporate & Investment Banking group in India.
Sivaramakrishnan S. Iyer Independent Director Sivaramakrishnan S Iyer has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. Mr. Iyer is a qualified Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (the “ICAI”) since 1987. He worked with J.M. Finance & Investment Consultancy from 1990 to 1991. He started independent practice as Chartered Accountant in the year 1991. He has over 18 years of experience in Accounts and Finance. He is a partner of Patel, Rajeev, Siva & Associates, which specializes in corporate finance and advises companies on debt/ equity fund raising, mergers/ amalgamations and capital structuring for new/ expansion projects, and has been associated with them since 1998.
Dharmesh Shah Independent Director
Dharmesh Shah has a B.E. (Mech.) from the University of Kashmir in 1985. He became a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 1991 and a Fellow of the Institution of Valuers in 1997. He worked with Mukund Iron and Steel Limited from September 1985 to February 1986 and then with Saple Scales Manufacturing Private Limited from April 1986 to September 1986. He works as a Chartered Engineer and Approved Valuer (Plant and Machineries) and is an Insurance Surveyor and Loss Assessor since October 1986. He was awarded the Chartered Engineer Status by the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (India) and is authorized to verify records on behalf of various government agencies. He was also awarded Approved Valuer Status by the Institute of Valuer in 1997. He has over 24 years of experience as an Insurance Surveyor and Loss Assessor.
Kamlesh S. Vikamsey Independent Director
Kamlesh S. Vikamsey has a bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. Mr. Vikamsey is a qualified Chartered Accountant since 1982 and has over 28 years of experience in accounting, finance, taxation, corporate and personal advisory services. He has been associated with M/s Khimji Kunverji & Co. as a senior partner since 1982. He was the President of the ICAI during 2005-2006 and was the Vice President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) during 2004-2005. He was an elected member of the Central Council of the ICAI from 1998 until 2007. He was a Board Member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) from 2005 until 2008. He was also President of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) from 2007 until 2009 & its Deputy President from 2005 until 2007. He has served as a member of various advisory and expert committees at national and international levels, including as a member of the Steering Committee for Comprehensive Review of Governance and Oversight within the United Nations and as a member of the Secondary Market Advisory Committee of SEBI.
